Assistive technology (AT) is equipment that can help you with everyday tasks.
AT can include:
- communication devices
- an app to remind you when to do daily tasks
- a wheelchair
- equipment you need at home or to do your job at work.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) may fund AT for you depending on the supports you need. The NDIS won’t fund things that other government programs fund (like the Employee Assistance Program).
